In these trying times, people just need to be
COMPLETE ASSHOLES sometimes.
COMPLETE ASSHOLES sometimes.
A lady came in the store today and made me undress 3 mannequins, get a ton of shit out of the cases, made me basically follow her around the store for 30 minutes. Then she said she hated the music, (Tortoise. Muthafreaking Tortoise) and she needed it turned off.
When I told her I didn't want to turn it off entirely because it feels wierd to shop in a silent store, she went over and turned it off herself and then lectured me about how she is THE CUSTOMER and she has a migraine and she was about to spend $400 but not anymore!!!
For $400 I would have laid down and let her kick me.
I don't think she was ever going to spend anything. She just wanted the attention.

Working retail can make the nicest people misanthropic.
ReplyDeleteHer behavior was inexcusable. She's just a bitch and you're right, she probably wasn't going to kick down any money anyway. Let her shop at Banana Republic where she can enjoy the Michael Buble in peace.
ReplyDeletethe customer sometimes SUCKS
ReplyDelete"She just wanted the attention," is exactly what people like her are about. It sounds like she was a kook and got a thrill from giving you a hard time. I understand the desire to have some extra assistance when shopping for clothing, but this woman behavior doesn't sound like it was about wanting your opinion on clothing or helping picking out something. It's a shame, cause you both are so good about going the extra mile for customers.
ReplyDeleteI would have let her know how b*tches like her should shop online since she feels the need to ruin your day when she should be appreciating that you run such a great store. Definately going to Bows this weekend to fill the store with true customers...
ReplyDeleteAH THAT SOUNDS AWFUL.
ReplyDeleteBLACK LIST HER FROM ALL VINTAGE STORES.
[or at least in this area]
Oh my GOSH. I'm so glad my boutique is online!!! I still get bitchy customers but at least I don't have to keep my mouth shut after I read their rants :) So sorry!!!!!!!
